The hammer head is forged, black lacquered, made of 45 steel. The hammer is selectively hardened for extra hardness and strength (52 HRC). The hammer is slightly Convex and sanded on both sides. Fiberglass grip absorbs recoil when hitting. Rubber coating prevents slipping in the hand and provides a comfortable and secure grip. Weight: 1000 year
