This hard volcanic growing medium is fairly light & very free draining yet has the capacity to hold good amounts of moisture within the structure of the grains.
Far better than traditional granite or silica based drainage mediums, which do not dissipate water well.
Neutral in PH with virtually no inherent nutrients.
