SS8 Spring washer designed to help prevent loosening of bolted joints under vibration. This type has a rectangular section and is generally used on hexagon head bolted fixings, manufactured to DIN 127. Spring washer also known as helical spring is specifically designed to provide a compensating spring force and sustain a load or absorb a shock. A spring washer is used to prevent components from loosening. As you tighten a bolt, these metric washers flatten to add tension to the threaded joint.
